25 years of CRi: a timeline of our history

This September, we celebrate our 25th year offering premium IT staffing and solutions to businesses in Omaha and across the United States! It has been an incredible journey, and we are grateful to all of our clients, consultants and CRi GIG team members who have made our success possible.

Our story began in 1999 with two employees. Twenty-five years later, we have served as a strategic IT staffing partner to over 200 businesses. We have IT consultants in 18 states across the US, and we are still green and growing!

From the day we first opened our doors to our 25 year milestone, this is a timeline of our history.

1999: CRi is formed with 2 employees.

2000: CRi joins Techserve Alliance.

2000: CRi breaks $1 million in revenue.

2001: CRi builds sales & recruiting divisions.

2002: CRi is retained as a strategic staffing partner to a Fortune 500 global financial software company.

2003: CRi hires first consultant experience manager.

2003: CRi opens new office in Aksarben.

2005: CRi onboards 25th client.

2006-08: CRi is honored by the Omaha Chamber of Commerce as one of the Top 25 Fastest Growing Companies in Omaha three years in a row.

2007: CRi breaks $10 million in annual revenue.

2007: CRi headcount surpasses 80 people.

2007: CEO Sue Thaden selected to Omaha Chamber of Commerce 40 under 40 List.

2010: CRi launches Solutions Division.

2011: CRi is Voted Top 100 Most Intriguing Companies Issued by CIO Review.

2011: CRi is selected as the exclusive IT staffing partner for a $20 billion regional bank.

2012: CRi expands offices into a new high tech office suite in Aksarben.

2012: CRi breaks $25 million in annual revenue.

2012: CRi is selected as mobile solutions partner for a $20 billion regional bank.

2013 & 2014: CRi is recognized by Inc Magazine as one of the Top 5000 Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies in the US.

2015: From Now On and FanX, a fan engagement mobile app, are incorporated out of the CRi Innovation Lab.

2016: CRi is named strategic product development partner for a fast-growing southwest regional bank.

2018: CRi’s From Now On signs six NCAA championships to client roster.

2020: CRi is selected as a key staffing partner for a strategic project for a state initiative, funded by the federal government.

2021: From Now On voted to Front Office Sports Best Employers in Sports annual list.

2022: CRi has a record year in direct-hire placements, supporting client hiring initiatives. 

2023: From Now On is acquired by Snap! Mobile.

In 2024, CRi represents IT consultants in 18 US states.

In 2024, CRi celebrates over 4000 successful placements in the IT workforce.

In 2024, CRi has proudly served over 200 businesses nationally.

In September of 2024, CRi celebrates twenty-five years in business!
